When to buy Savings Bonds

I'm new at purchasing bonds and have just recently come across your web site. Should I wait until interest rates go up again to start purchasing bonds? Tom's response I'd recommend sticking to a regular schedule and not trying to guess the future. You can get a little bit of free interest by investing near the end of the month (you earn interest for the entire month in which you purchase a Savings Bond, even if you invest on the last day of the month). Since the rates on the Savings Bonds you buy will automatically adjust every six month to new rates, there's not a good reason to try to time your purchases.
