Savings Bonds and IRAs

Neil Downing at the Providence (RI) Journal has published the most extensive article I've ever seen on Savings Bonds and IRAs. The article discusses the situations in which putting a Savings Bond in an IRA is theoretically possible, why it's very difficult to find a financial institution willing to set this up for you, and why, in the end, putting a Savings Bond in an IRA is like wearing a belt and suspenders.
